Tameaka Reid Sims is a trusted voice in spiritual formation—a dynamic biblical teacher, author, and consultant. Known for her bold, down-to-earth, and practical approach to teaching the Gospel, Tameaka helps people from all walks of life engage more deeply with God and walk confidently in their purpose. Her gift lies in making Scripture accessible, relevant, and transformational.

She is the visionary behind The TRS Collective, a growing hub for prayer, writing, teaching, and equipping both churches and individuals in spiritual development. Through her weekly broadcast, Awaken in the Word, and her national and international ministry efforts, Tameaka continues to guide thousands into a more intimate and consistent relationship with God.

With over a decade of experience in pastoral leadership, she has faithfully served churches in Ohio and Pennsylvania, and now ministers alongside her husband at Bethel A.M.E. Church in Pompano Beach, FL. Her work includes spiritual direction for ministry teams, women’s leadership development, and consulting with congregations seeking to strengthen prayer culture and discipleship practices.

Tameaka is the author of several impactful books, including Turbulence, God Speaks, Prayer: The Most Beautiful Language, Indistinct Chatter, and 73 Creative Ideas for Women’s Ministry. Her writing continues to reach readers across the U.S., South Africa, Germany, and Brazil.

She is married to Rev. Micah C.T. Sims and is a proud mother. A lifelong learner, she studied at Wilberforce University, Cleveland State University, and the University of Phoenix, and is currently pursuing a Master of Arts in Theology with an emphasis in Women and Ministry. She honors the influence and faith-filled example of her parents, Rev. Dr. Wesley and Mrs. Kathleen Reid, who continue to be a source of strength and inspiration.
